Jolene has a BTech from the Durban Institute of Technology in Industrial Chemistry. She has worked for the Durban Institute of Technology lecturing chemistry, worked for the Department of Transport and in the R&D Department of Unilever. She has done consulting work for Smith and Nephew, Bayer, Beier Industries, Transformer Services, Eskom,  and Natures Source to name a few.
